Topic: Chelation Therapy:The Next 60 Years - The Prospects for Acceptance in Preventive and Therapeutic Strategies by John Parks Trowbridge M.D., FACAM
Advanced Metal Toxicology Workshop - Washington DC March 13-14, 2013
From the serendipitous discovery that chelation positively affected heart and blood vessel disease patterns, our research has been steady but slow. The most persuasive realization has been the awareness that removal of toxic heavy metals is perhaps the primary mechanism of action. Documented without question now are clinical improvements with virtually every organ system, including metabolic and endocrine functions. Future studies are likely to focus on the best combination of chelating compounds as well as the appropriate time to begin a treatment program.
