Summary: Dr Vojdani will discuss how to assess a patient for intestinal barrier permeability, trigger antigens such as lipopolysaccharides, gluten and dairy proteins, and targeted tissue autoimmunity. Case studies will be reviewed taking the attendee through clinical scenarios of investigation. Real-life clinical stories from identifying “leaky gut” to assessing autoimmune pathogenesis and detecting triggers of inflammation; and from the assessment, of a patient with a known autoimmune disorder, for additional biomarkers of autoimmunity and addressing her gut issues as part of the treatment protocol.
