Attorney John J. Richardson is the General Counsel for ICIM, which means he is available to all ICIM members who are in need of legal help at 888-949-5245. His duties include, but are not limited to: acting as free hotline for ICIM members who need legal advice, resolving disputes between members; lecturing and providing continuing medical education talks; advising ICIM on organizational policies, political or lobbing issues, potential litigation, document review, and advising the organization on legal matters in general.

Mr. Richardson is a lawyer with over 20 years of extensive trial and legal experience who focuses his practice on administrative law, litigation, and general legal support for health care professionals.  Mr. Richardson is former Of-Counsel and the sole successor of the retired law firm of Augustine, Kerns & Levins (a law firm that successfully defended more physicians licenses than perhaps any other law firm in the country). He has been a frequent legal analyst in the national media and lectures to physicians all over the United States and internationally.

Mr. Richardson: defends physicians and health care professionals against medical boards all over the United States; assists physicians in creating a practice that is in compliance with the law; drafts consent forms and legal health care documents; consults with health care professionals on how to streamline their practice; defends against FDA inquires and violations; defends against DEA violations; defends physicians against data bank reports; defends physicians against discipline upon their privileges; and, provides litigation and legal support for medical professionals in general.
