Dr. Amanda Kaufman is a family physician practicing integrative medicine for the whole family. She received her medical degree from the University of Michigan where she also completed her family medicine residency. She was on the faculty of the University of Michigan Medical School from 2005 until 2014. She is board certified in Family Medicine since 2005 and Integrative and Holistic Medicine (ABIHM) since 2011.
She is passionate about the negative effects of stress on health and use of mindfulness and meditation to thrive. Interests include preventative medicine, women's health, mindful parenting, child development, breastfeeding, bioidentical hormones, and transgender medicine. She incorporates elements of nutrition, manual therapies, aromatherapy, herbal medicine and traditional chinese medicine with the best of western medicine into her practice. She is married with three small children and enjoys walks in the woods and gardening.
